Job Description


  • To create and manage Celcom Home Business unit, charged with servicing the Home segment with all communications and entertainment needs, aiming to capture a significant share of Fixed Broadband (Fixed Wireless and Fiber Access) and Convergence revenue and profit pool
  • Direct Celcom’s Home Business Unit within the framework of an agreed business strategy and to meet operational targets for revenues, profitability and customer experience.
  • The Business unit will have ownership of the end to end customer journey of acquiring, cross and upselling, and in-life servicing each home as one, single account, extracting and creating maximum long-term value for both the customer / household and Celcom shareholders.


  • Develop and execute Celcom strategy to penetrate and dominate “home” discretionary spend in communications, entertainment and other digital services, with a view to create and extract long term value from the Celcom-“home” relationship
  • Identify, initiate and develop long term win-win relationships and alliances with key partners / stakeholders that can enable Celcom to effectively penetrate and build stickiness within the “home” arena in a way that is premised on a sustainable competitive advantage. Including but not limited to product, distribution, content, devices, wholesale, fulfilment and in-life servicing
  • Identify and stay ahead of “home” developments in multiple areas of the business - from connectivity, to entertainment, to digital services and Internet of Things etc – so that Celcom continually stays relevant and current, keeping its influence within “home” dominant
  • Develop and manage product / service portfolio and ensuring pricing consistent with “home” proposition and strategy, profitability and topline ambitions



  • Develop and manage all go to market activities from acquisition, cross and upselling ambitions, in-life servicing and end to end customer experience
  • Create, develop and design organization structure and human capital specifications that can enable the effective implementation and sustainability of the strategy 
  • Recruit, develop, retain and motivate the people within the business unit for maximum performance
  • Engage and interact effectively within internal and external stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure that the vision of the business is bought in, and supported – be the face of “home” business
  • Ensure the delivery of annual business objectives for the business unit consistent with agreed Business Plan - customer base, revenue, profitability, and capex


Degree or post grad qualification


  • At least 10 years in communications, entertainment, content, consumer industries or a combination of which, with at least 5 at senior levels managing P&L
  • Experience in start-ups an added advantage
