Job Description

The job holder is responsible in defining the strategy and roadmap for the specific product portfolio. This includes new product design and definition, plus enhancement of an existing product. The job holder also responsible to communicate and get the buy-on from both internal stakeholders before initiating the productization processes. He/She is also responsible for the End-to-End product development, marketing plans, profitability, technical supports, lifecycle management and enhancement. 

1. Product Strategy – Define and drives product strategy and roadmap that goes into any new product such as technology, platform, value added feature, partnership, etc. Translating product strategy into detailed requirements and development blueprint.
2. Product Ideation – Generate new product concept / idea and enhancement feature / update by analysing current market trend, industry focus and new technology. Lead the discussion with the Business team and Partners to expand the idea with hard data and feasibility study. Work closely with Engineering teams to deliver the enhancement feature / update with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
3. Product Design and Documentation – Drives end-to-end new product design including flow and pricing by consolidating inputs and requirements from internal stakeholders (e.g. Product Marketing, Partner Management, Operations, Engineering, & Finance) and external stakeholders (Partners). Manage expectation and obtain stakeholders consensus on product / feature priorities and directions. In charge of creating and updating all product documentation including user journey flow.
4. Product Development – Establish and document development process. Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact. Handle the development work of new products until completion and ready for market. Scope includes technical work by engineering team, operation readiness, payment process, financial settlement, customer service, legal / regulatory compliance, pricing finalization with Business team etc. Highlight and work closely with Product Marketing on what dependencies / obstacles that need clearing and meeting the product delivery timeline.
5. Partnership – Actively source, evaluate and identify suitable technology and industry partners for the successful implementation and deployment of all solutions related to the portfolio
6. Release Management – Act as the gatekeeper for new product release to market. Final go ahead after reviewing end to end readiness. Work with Product Marketing and Partner Management to develop a generic and project specific Go-To-Market (GTM) plan including documentation. 
7. Communication – Articulate product vision / strategy to stakeholders and team. Present product concept and feature to Axiata Operators together with the Business team to achieve sign up and participation. Evaluate promotional plans with Product Marketing to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed.


1. Professional certificate
2. 8 – 10 years’ experience in Telecommunications / IT or other relevant industries
3. Have proven track-records in the above service development, deployment, and commercial roll-out.
4. Strong understanding of industry, functional, and market knowledge & practices. 
5. Possess product management knowledge
6. Business development experience is an added advantage
