BUSINESS CONTINUITY MANAGEMENT (6 months contract)

Job Description

The Business Continuity Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining and testing Celcom’s business continuity programme. The manager will support all business continuity plan activities necessary to enable Celcom to manage a crisis or disruptive event to keep the company functioning. The main objectives are to ensure safety of employee and others; reduce the vulnerability to potential business discontinuity; protect vital assets of the company; provide an orderly and expedited recovery after a disruptive event. The position’s primary role is to identify, document and test business needs against Celcom’s infrastructure and identify recovery strategies and gaps.
ACCOUNTABILITIES 
1. Work with all functional business areas to develop and maintain a corporate wide Business Continuity Plan (BCP) programme that addresses business recovery and emergency response management. 
•    Liaise with BCM Coordinators to develop effective working relationship and documented Business Continuity Plans (BCP);
•    Liaise with key infrastructure teams to identify gaps, set recovery time objectives and convey business needs and expectations;
•    Challenge business leaders on identification of critical functions and goals;
•    Design and outline BCP goals, objectives and scope for business plans and Crisis Management
•    Communicate with respective divisions to perform BIA, BCP and BC Strategy.
2. Support and assist in the development of BC planning and goals.
•    Report to the Crisis Management Team (CMT) and define on-going goals;
•    Assist the Head Of GRA in aligning all BC planning , initiatives and goals to the Organizational goals and Infrastructure capabilities
3. Provide training on Contingency Planning Concepts and Procedures;
•    Create or administer training and awareness presentations or materials;
•    Develop training materials;
•    Train BCM councilors on BCM processes and procedures.
4. Implement recovery procedures in the event of a business interruptions; 
5. Test the plan so that relevant staff understands what is expected of them in the event of a disruption; Plan or execute regular rehearsal
6. Facilitate and support the execution of the plans at the time of a disruptive event.
•    Lead and facilitate execution of the plan and support plan navigation for the business during disruptive event;
•    Support CMT with critical components of the plan for them to make critical decisions;
•    Provide visibility and reporting to the CMT on the critical functions, individuals and infrastructure within the business plans.
7. Prepare / update the Business Impact Assessment (BIA) questionnaires template and  BCM & BIA training slides;
8. Establish, maintain or test call trees to ensure appropriate communication during disaster;
9. Identify Minimum Business Continuity Objectives for the organization;
10. BCM Simulation - Determine objectives, scope, assumptions and disaster scenario and perform detail planning of the crisis simulation.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

1. Minimum Degree or Professional Qualification in a related field – Audit, Finance, Engineering, or Information Technology
2. 8 yrs preferably in technical area.
3. Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunication industry with exposure in key functional areas.
