Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

  1. Manage all financial operations for Celcom Axiata Berhad and its subsidiaries including AR, AP, treasury management, bank reconciliation and payment channel via collection agencies.

ACCOUNTABILITIES /KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for monitoring, checking and resolving issues on collections via banking and other payment channels via collection agencies, and their reconciliation processes, as well as optimising Celcom Group’s available banking and payment channels.
  2. Manage all matters in relation to accounts payable including timely payment for verified invoices, timely preparation and review of creditors reconciliation.
  3. Monitor and ensure timeliness and completeness of billing to other receivables and ensure it is collected promptly.
  4. Monthly assessment of other receivables to identify credit risk and ensure provision is made accordingly.
  5. Monthly reporting on creditors and bank recon, other receivables and collection agencies balances and ageing.
  6. Treasury management - monitor compliance with debt covenants and manage financing requirements.
  7. Treasury management – monitoring cash flows requirement for operating costs and capital investments and manage cash flows effectively.
  8. Lead, guide, develop, coach and motivate subordinates to enhance work commitment and capability level to deliver up to expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum qualification of relevant Accounting Degree and Certified Practicing Account (CPA) qualification.

EXPERIENCE:

  1. Minimum 8 years in related field.
  2. Preferably with experience in financial accounting & reporting, finance operations & reconciliations, telecommunications industry or dynamic business & operational background.
TECHNICAL & BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES/ SKILLS

1. Familiar with SAP/Oracle or similarly-sized ERP systems in terms of complexity and 
functionalities

2. Deep understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting standards in accordance with MFRS

3. Strong understanding of end-to-end financial operations, and related process and supporting systems

4. Analytical mind-set

5. Effective communication skills, along-side articulate and on-point presentation capabilities

6. Good balance of high-level and detailed perspectives
