Job Description

JOB PURPOSE :

  • To plan, direct and manage the overall Project Yellow platform in ensuring 99.95% uptime that shall result in maximised NPS and revenue target; and to provide L2/L3 operational support

ACCOUNTABILITIES : 

  • To ensure all Yellow’s infrastructure and platforms are at the best state of operational environment in ensuring 99.95% service availability.
  • To enforce the KPIs to all Yellow’s vendors in accordance to the agreed SLAs.
  • To authorize any changes in the production system including Yellow’s BSS, OCS, southbound/northbound interfaces, network switches and firewalls.
  • To establish governance process between Yellow and all vendors for operational and business needs
  • To continuously improve operational process and forecast the impact of changes/promotion/event on Yellow system.
  • To plan for operational improvement plan that can be translated towards operational stability and uptime
  • To identify and fix any leakage on Yellow system due to system faults and misconfiguration
  • To provide L2/L3 operational support and minimize the customer complaint originated by L1 team
  • To improve the communication plan to all stakeholders during system fault and restoration.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

  • Degree in any Computer Science, IT or Engineering discipline, Master’s degree is a plus
  • At least 10years in IT/network operational team with at least 5 years management experience
  • Proven work experience in maintenance and support of IT systems and network elements

TECHNICAL & BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES/ SKILLS

  1. Advance IT and telco’s core network systems, protocols and technologies
  2. Excellent technical knowledge in Cisco switches and Fortigate firewalls
  3. Complete understanding of real time interactions between OCS/BSS and network elements
  4. Good understanding of SIM card production, distribution and provisioning process
  5. Strong knowledge in VMware, UNIX server system operations, SOAP/Rest APIs, JSON, MongoDB technologies
  6. Excellent analysis and technical troubleshooting skills
  7. Excellent communication and reporting skills
  8. Responsive, proactive, persistent and ability to work on operational basis
